Carob Mylk Tea

Carob Tea recipe for eczema

Carob is a great chocolate-free substitute that is good for the skin. It’s a rich source of calcium and it’s salicylate free.

As always, if you react to an ingredient then avoid it but if you are fine with carob here are some great products (note this is not a sponsored blog post, just info).
Note: carob contains tannins and a few people are sensitive to tannins. This is another company which has similar products.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon carob powder
  • 1 teaspoon (or to taste) with rice malt syrup or ½ teaspoon maple syrup rice milk
  • 1 scoop Skin Friend PM (optional, to make it rich in calcium, magnesium and glycine)

Method

  • Pour boiling water into a tea/coffee cup.
  • Add the carob powder, rice malt syrup and top with rice milk, and mix well.

Optional: If it’s the morning, add Skin Friend AM or for an afternoon drink add Skin Friend PM.

Check if the drink is not too hot before adding Skin Friend AM as very hot water will destroy the B vitamins and vitamin C. Skin Friend PM can be added to hot foods.
