Will this cream stain my clothes or smell bad, like other eczema creams?

Why is Eczema Friend PFAS-free? Is this important?

Yes, it’s probably the most important ingredient to avoid in skincare. PFAS are a group of synthetic "forever chemicals" that can damage the skin barrier, and they're linked to hormonal and immune system dysfunction and even childhood eczema. Why does skincare pH matter—and what’s the pH of Eczema Friend?

Eczema Friend has a skin-friendly pH of 4.6, designed to match the natural pH of healthy skin. Because maintaining an acidic pH supports your skin barrier and protects its microbiome—your skin’s natural defence. In contrast, soaps, skincare and even tap water can be too alkaline (pH above 6), which can damage the skin's microbiome, so applying a low pH cream like Eczema Friend after showering helps to restore balance.

What ingredients should I avoid in eczema creams?

Avoid essential oils, fragrance, olive oil, parabens, PFAS and benzoates. Also avoid food-based ingredients commonly used in beauty products, including goat’s milk, avena sativa (oat), coconut oil and almond oil — because they may increase the risk of developing food allergies, which can worsen eczema. Eczema friend does not contain these ingredients because we formulate with safety and sensitive skin in mind.

What’s the difference between eczema creams and moisturisers?

Moisturisers prevent skin dryness by providing hydration and sealing in moisture. Eczema creams go further: they’re usually formulated with active ingredients that may provide eczema relief.

What is the difference between Eczema Friend and 24-Hour Rescue?

Eczema Friend looks and feels the same as 24-Hour Rescue, so it's pleasant on the skin and soaks in quickly, it's invisible on the skin and SUPER hydrating, like our original cream. BUT it's very different, results-wise.

Eczema Friend is a rash cream with an active ingredient (provitamin B5) that relieves red skin rashes, itchy skin and more.

24-Hour Rescue does not contain an active ingredient so it's just a darn good moisturiser for dry skin (not an eczema treatment).

Wonder Zinc has a light sunscreen-like feel, goes on invisible but leaves a slight shine/glow on the skin. It's great for minimising pores, it's not as hydrating as Eczema Friend and it has a slight earthy smell thanks to the organic seaweed (which helps to quickly reduce skin redness).

On the other hand, Eczema Friend has no smell, it's completely matte finish on the skin and invisible (soaks in so fast like magic) and it's a wonderful daily head-to-toe moisturiser that will get rid of knee wrinkles, chest wrinkles and pesky flaky skin rashes.

Both products contain pro-vitamin B5 which relieves red skin rashes and mild eczema but Eczema Friend contains a higher amount. They work well together or on their own. Team them together or use one.

How to choose?

If you like zinc creams (glowy look, not super hydrating) or have weepy wet eczema or lots of cuts and open wounds, then choose Wonder Zinc.

    My little boy started developing eczema when he was 3yo. He would scratch his skin until it bled. We discovered Skin Friend and followed all of Karen’s instructions. During the first 2 months, his skin actually got worse, but by the 3rd month, with the strict FID diet, supplements, Wonder Zinc, and Eczema Friend cream, his skin gradually cleared up and the flares reduced significantly.\nIt was hard work! but it has paid off.
